2007 NFL Draft Review

mossAt Florida Moss started 13 times. He finished his career with 87 tackles, fifteen sacks for -114 yards and 22 stops for losses. He had 14 quarterback pressures, caused five fumbles and recovered another. He also blocked 2 kicks and deflected six passes. In his last 24 games, Moss registered all of his fifteen quarterback sacks and 22 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He became the first Gator to register three sacks in a game. All-Southeastern Conference second-team selection by The NFL Draft Report. Moss was on the preseason Watch Lists for the Lombardi Award and Ted Hendricks Defensive End Award. Moss also earned SEC Defensive Linemen of the Week honors vs. Vanderbilt. Moss was ranked fourth on his team with 56 tackles. He was also fifth in the conference with 7.5 sacks for minus 60 yards, and ranked second on the team with eleven stops for losses of 68 yards. I am telling you this kid, if he works hard and really puts everything he has into it, will be the next Jason Taylor. He has the speed you would look for in a defensive end, he also has great size.

CrowderPicked in the second round Crowder was a must have for the Broncos, starting each of his final 47 games. He proved to be a valluable asset, registering 19 quarterback sacks with 40 tackles behind the line of scrimmage and 76 pressures in 51 contests during his collegiate career. Crowder recieved the league’s coaches awarded first-team All-Big Twelve Conference honors in 2005. He was a member of the Hendricks Award watch list and a key member of a defense that ranked 10th nationally in total defense . In 2006, Crowder was named a finalist for the Hendricks Award and a quarterfinalist for the Lott Trophy. A second-team All-American selection by Walter Camp, he was also a consensus first-team All-Big Twelve pick. The team captain produced a career-high 59 tackles with 10.5 sacks and 18 stops behind the line of scrimmage. He had 20 pressures with four forced fumbles and recovered a fumble for a score. I can't wait to see the kind of competition going on this season for the defensive line of the Denver Broncos. This guy is going to make it harder for some veterins to make the cut.

HarrisThe Denver Broncos struggled last season trying to get some sortof support for thier quarterback and also for their run game. The buttom line was we need some one who can help us get the job done. In the third round Denver picked Ryan Harris. Harris played with Notre Dame, lining up at right offensive tackle for the first 8 games of his career before shifting to left tackle. He joined linemen Dan Santucci and Bob Morton in giving the Irish a trio of experienced blockers, helping the team rank 13th in the nation in passing in 2006. We need some help for our young quarterback Jay Culter and I really think this guy can help us. He is very athletic for as big as he is standing 6' 4" 305. He will definatly make an impact on how good our running, and passing games are this coming season. I just hope that the rest of our O-Line is ready to compete with this guy.
