The University of Michigan's College Football Program has succeeded and have been in the Rose Bowl nineteen times, and have won the Rose Bowl eight times. The Rose bowl is in Pasadena, California. Initially called Tournament of the Roses it included Ostrich Races, Bronco Busting Demonstrations and a race between a Camel and an Elephant. In 1902 they decided that there should be a Football game that year was the first Rose Bowl it hosted the Powerhouse University of Michigan against Stanford the game was a total dominance on the part of Michigan they won 49 to 0 and the game was ended in the third quarter.
