Set up your folders to show extensions and full file information

This helps both of us see when you created a file and what type it is. This is especially important for students in the HTML and Dreamweaver classes.

  1. Choose Start and choose My Documents.
  2. From the Menu bar, choose View, Details.
  3. From the Menu bar, choose Tools, Folder Options, and click on the View tab.
  4. In the Advanced settings box, uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
  5. Click the Apply to All Folders button.
  6. Click the Apply button.
  7. Click the OK button.

Click to go back to clean up and organize list.
