 | Purpose: Students will demonstrate their abilities with the keyboard and
Microsoft Word by creating a name tag. The students and teacher will learn
about each other by these name tags. The name tags will identify where each
student's desk is. Students will also correctly identify and name a file. |
 | See the long filename at the top of this page. The first part of the
filename is the class (O1 for Office1, O2 for Office2, etc.). Note you use the letter O for Office and 0 (zero) for chapter. Notice
also, the five parts of the filename and no spaces. If you are in Office1
for blockD and your name was Hannah Jones, your filename would be
O1-0-Q4D-JonesH-NameTag. |
 | You will print your name tag and attach it to your work area with the stapler or
tape. |
 | Click this link and follow the instructions: Create a name tag.
Complete a new tag even if you were in a previous class. If you can find your
previous name tag, you can edit it and save it with the new name. |
 | Make two backups of your document. See backup above
and email yourself the document or save it on a jump drive. |
 | Send me an email with the subject: Nametag. Type the message, "Nametag
done, backed up, and put up in my cubicle." Don't forget your first and last
name at the bottom of the message. |
