Common Assignments
Welcome, I mean really welcome to class. I am a huge proponent of reading, both for learning and for instructions. Your grade will depend on how accurately you follow instructions, both on the assignments below and throughout the course. Please read carefully and follow the instructions so you can get the best grade possible. Because the course is so dependent on your reading ability, if you have problems reading in general or understanding specific instructions, please let me know.
Note for parents and others (students you can read if you want to know how the assignments fit with items you are supposed to learn). Here are the general standards for the following assignments.
Start up Assignments
Read the following and if necessary, click on the links as you get to each assignment. Before you start the files in your book, you will create the following documents for a grade. These are due by Friday or earlier. For students that have taken one or more of my classes this year, see the * note below
- First Email - and all emails with subject, spelling, grammar, and first and last name (10 points)
- Clean up and organize folders and files on C: drive and My Documents and 1 more backup and send an email (10 points)
- Download class folders, backup, and send an email (10 points)
- Who am I online survey (10 points)
- Name tag document printed and posted (10 points)
- Saving Documents - Filenames Quiz (15 points) Saving -- Start here
- DocIDs - 3 files with DocIDs and long filenames attached to email (30 points)
- ELocker 3 emails (copy, reply all, and forward)* (20 points)
- Procedures quiz* (10 points) Procedures - Start here
- ChapterNotes add DocID, rename for long filename, and remove extra text (10 points)
