Dirty Birdy Feet

by Rick Winter
Illustrated by Mike Lester
A picture book for up to 8 year olds.

We were eating sloppy joes. Mom had just washed the white carpet and told us to be careful. A bird fell into the chimney and dropped into the ashes. The cat dashed after the bird, the dog jogged after the cat, Brother dripped sloppy joe, Mom yelled, Dad growled, and Little Sister and I watched. The carpet wasn't white anymore.

My first children's book

Welcome to my Web site. While I've written over 40 computer books, I now get to announce my first children's book, Dirty Birdy Feet. I'm excited about the book and hope you enjoy it.

Dirty Birdy Feet was released in August 2000. The publisher is Rising Moon (a division of Northland Publishing).

Do you know this teacher?

Please help me find Mrs. Mary Flowers. The book is dedicated to her. She was my third grade teacher at Eastridge Elementary school (Aurora, Colorado) in 1966. The latest I heard was that she moved to the Chicago area and may be in a religious retirement home. I don't know if she is still alive, but I would like to find her or her family.
